Checking your fasteners

Post by Happytrails » Sat Jun 08, 2019 3:56 pm

Lost my flag the other day on a nice ride. Still have the mount and looks like it was just that the screw came out. Had to order a replacement thru Cyclemax. Remember to check some fasteners occasionally or maybe use a little blue loctite :)

That is some good advice.
You have a really good looking motorcycle. I have always liked that color combo. My previous GL1200L was that color. I used to get a lot of comments about how it looked.

Thanks! Like most goldwings it was in need of tlc and I'm really happy with how it turned out. :D

Always thought the LTDs were best goldwings they made and thought they chose the colors of the 91 as sort of a tribute to the LTD? (kind of before my time being in the goldwing circles) or maybe it was an anniversary thing. I look at the new goldwings as kind of trying to vaguely take us back to the 1200's showing more engine and making the bike slightly smaller.

Your goldwings are very nice. The red is always great looking and I've always liked the bermuda green (seeing some of the photos of your bike). Goldwings kind of lost something when they used to be painted in a variety of colors but maybe thats just me.

Some do, not most.

:D
Don't be so quick to use any "lock tite" on fasteners through the ABS though.

Good advice. That color scheme is very eye catching.
You ain't lost, you're just somewhere you ain't been before.
