StrobeWise

Post by guitarzan »

Hello,
I have a 1994 Goldwing SE 1500, I am installing a StrobeWise deceleration warning system and need to access the signal coming from the electronic speed sensor. I need to know where the speed sensor is and how to gain access to it. Can anyone help me please.

Thank you
Frank

Wheel speed sensor, Instrument Panel. See page 7-6 of your Honda Service Manual.

Easiest place to tap into the wheel speed signal is at the cruise control connector, under the seat, Yellow/Red wire at connector C33. The cruise control brain is under the trunk but I think you can get to the C33 connector without removing any tupperware or the trunk.

I want to thank you all for the information on the speed sensor. Mike B, I'm looking at page 7-6 and I only see "Cylinder Head/Exhaust System Timing Belt Removal ", and "Camshaft/Rocker Arm Removal ." I'm looking in my 1994 GL1500 SERVICE MANUAL & ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL. Am I missing something?

Thank you

Mike B, I'm looking in the "ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL ", and on page 7-6 is the Speed Sensor Circuit (Wheel Speed", circuit schematic .

I've never been even looked at that section before. My mistake and I apologize.

No problem. I should have specified ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL. I always forget that the two books are separate with their own numbering system. Had I been looking at the actual paper version, I'm sure it would have slapped me in the face but I was researching the digital version. It finds thing so much quicker when you use the digital search function. I'd probably still be looking if I had been using the paper version.

Well I appreciate you doing that for me. I've never looked at the digital version, can I download it to a thumb drive?

Yes, it can be put on a thumb drive. It is 35 MB in size. I downloaded it from the internet. I'm looking to see if I can find an available version. The sources kind of dried up after Honda put its foot down on their copyright.

Unfortunately, WingAdmin had to remove all the copyrighted materials. So no, I don't believe the manuals are available in the USA for download. I know they are out there from offshore accounts but I do not remember where.
