If it lights up with the key on, , what makes you feel that the sending unit is bad???, , , did it run outta gas without the light coming on?

This happens more than you would think. If you don't replace the sending unit just make sure you reset your trip meter after every fill up and at a certain mileage start looking for gas, or when your gas gauge gets low fill up. I always try to fill up at at least 1/4 tank and everytime after a ride before I get home and park it so the tank is full for my next ride.
