Electrical "buzz" near battery

Post by petecracknell »

Recently purchased 93 GL1500 with 180,000km. Bike runs well but emits an electrical buzz near the battery after turning off ignition. Seems to be heat related. After 200km ride , buzz still continued after disconnecting the battery but eventually stopped after a short time.
After a shorter ride, I have been able to stop the buzz by turning the ignition switch on then off ( without restarting the bike).
Anything in and around the battery I could check?

Sometimes the fuel tank vent may make strange noises. Remove the fuel tank cap when you hear the noise and check if it disappears.
