WHAT IS THIS!??

Post by magnajohn »

HI. First post here. Cool site! Picked up a 90SE. No manual(yet). Trying to figure out gadgetry.
I attached a picture with a red arrow I put on the pic in MS paint, pointing to the handle thingy.
It's very close the the passenger right side grab bar.

It is the passenger floorboard adjustment lever.
Actually the floorboard has only high and low positions.

Pull the lever to unlock the passenger foot rest then push the foot rest down.Release lever to lock it.
Do that again and the foot rest springs back up.
This works for either side.

Your picture shows them in the down position, they will go up a couple inches.

The passenger footrests can be adjusted upwards to accommodate short legged passengers or kids.

Insane mechanism. They were stuck down. Had to pry them up individually. Are they pneumatic?
