Used Goldwing Parts
Can anyone recommend a good place for me to buy used fairing parts from? I need a L Shelter (Preferably in Black) and a Trunk Lid (Black also). Trying to do this on a budget as my wife has health issues and I do not have a lot to spend on my toys. I have a 1991 Goldwing GL1500a Trike. The man I purchased it from seems to have used a lot of glue to make things look better under the dust and dirt than what they were. The heat from the summer caused the L Shelter to fall apart, like 6 pieces, lost both of my left vents on the highway as well as some of the other parts of the shelter, so I just have holes over there for now.

Re: Used Goldwing Parts
my favorite search engine for parts is www.SearchTempest.com
keep the search term very short, in fact, just search for gl1500 and ignore the bikes that show up, keep going and you will find a LOT of parts. the reason for this is, you call it a trunk, they call it a 'boot' or other straight name. but it all has to fit a gl1500
Set the Search Radius on your ZipCode and the miles at 2,000 which will give you coverage from coast to coast, and Canada also.
and just WTH is a " L shelter " ??? I surely have no clue....
that is why I stick with just " gl1500 "

that doesn't even scratch the surface of what Search Tempest can find

Thanks AZgl1800, I will take a look at that site today. The L Shelter, this is the OEM Term, is the left side of the fairing with the vents in it that the Reverse level goes through.

On my 92 Interstate, this was called 'Inner Fairing, L'. I found one on ebay but, it took a while to find one in fine condition, in the proper color, and for a price I could live with. You can prevail if you check every day or two and just be patient. It took me about a year to find the one I purchased.
