Austone Rear Tire Rubbing
I have just completed my rear tire replacement with the now unavailable Austone, and have a lot of rubbing on the inner fender flap, even though I tied it out of the way. If this particular flap was completely removed, would it cause too much of a problem with mud, etc. being flung up under the framework? It appears, after testing various tire pressures and shock settings, that nothing will help, short of total flap removal!

Don't remove it, you will end up with mud and water flung up into electrics that were not designed to be wet.rlcasbro wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2019 7:37 pmI have just completed my rear tire replacement with the now unavailable Austone, and have a lot of rubbing on the inner fender flap, even though I tied it out of the way. I used a heat gun to heat up the fender until it got a bit soft, then used my (gloved) fingers to encourage it to move out of the way of the tire. Hold it there until it cools/solidifies, and job's done.

Same problem here. Went in and muscled the inner fender way out and tied back with metal zip ties.
No matter the method do not take off the inner fender....results are not good. Been there, done that, got the prize
