Keep watching Ebay … or … check with WingAdmin here on this site … is all I can suggest.

I have a spare, but it's a 1997 glass headlight.

The 1997 & older have glass lenses, the '1998 and newer have plastic lenses.

Try here, https://cyclemax.com/ they used to have the late model headlight assembly but it wasn't cheap. I don't know of any GL 1500 headlight being glass. My 89 was plastic as were my 97 and 93 that I have now. Glass wouldn't be cost effective or an Ideal material to make a composite headlight from.

All GL1500s up through '97 had glass headlight lenses with facets in the glass for directing & distributing light, it was not until 1998 they went to a clear plastic lense with facets in the reflector. If your pre '98 GL1500s had the plastic, some one switched them, it was a popular swap many made to get a new look.
