Handlebar cable routing/ 2000 GL1500

Post by erkmann »

I have these two brackets remaining as I finish up replacing steering head bearings. Both for use in securing cables at handlebar. Smaller one likely for clutch cable but not clear how attached. Likewise with the larger one.

Anyone have a pic to clarify? I should have taken a few upon disassembly.

The large clips over and under the handle bars.
Isn't the small is for the throttle cables?

It's been 9 years since I worked of the 1500 so my rememberer is dusty....

Thanks newday77. Small clip ends up being the one that retains the speedometer cable on the left strut down near the rotor cover. The larger one ends up clipping over the ignition key stock to retain some of the wires up there. Thanks for your reply.
