All four. The outside two are position lights, and the inside two are high/low headlamps. Since you have both lows out, you might want to check the fuses/relays, before the bulbs.

checked fuses and relay both good but have no power on park light fuse [prev owner did say they quit when trying to wire extra lights on trunk sides] is there another fuse or relay somewhere else ?

The park light fuse only has power when the ignition is actually in the "P" position.

You might want to check the headlights themselves - it's not outside the realm of possibility that the low beam filament is burned out in both bulbs.

Age, heated filaments, vibrations, low beams on always in day if ridden, just normal.

Well, could be … or maybe they was just equally tired?

One has to think there is a pretty good voltage fluctuation with brake applications too? I just changed mine when I was there one day and thought of age, they were at least 15 years old.

Take care ….. :)

I had had a low beam go out right after I bought my '89 a few years ago and replaced it. A week or so later, I was pulling out the assembly again to change the other! Both were since good up until I replaced them with LEDs last year. Sometimes "Stuff" happens!
