I swapped out the heated grips that came with my 99 Aspy because I had a brand new set of Oxfort heaters with the touring grips that work a lot better. But they're a bit short and unlike my ST1100 (which I took them off of) I don't see a bolt hole to mount a bar-end weight like I did on my ST. Is there something hidden that I can't see? Can I get bar-end weights? If so, where? I've only seen Kurayken weights for Kurayken grips out there so far and I didn't see any weights in the stock/OEM parts section.
Stay safe and God bless,

Re: Bar End Weights???
Standard aftermarket expanding bar end weights for 7/8" (22mm) bars should work once you pull the end caps. Not sure if there was anything OEM for a 99. As smooth as these are, bar end weights are a solution looking for a problem that isn't really there.

Re: Bar End Weights???
Any tricks to getting off the "end caps" other than a flat blade screwdriver and some force?
In my case, it's not just aesthetics that I'm aiming to improve, even with the foam covers I'm getting enough vibration in the handlebars (especially the left) that my hand goes a bit numb after long rides.
Is it possible to use the same bar-end weights that I bought for my 2002 ST1100 when I get the caps off? those are a nice gloss black and are still in perfect condition and aren't installed on my ST anymore.
God bless,
~Mark

I have never used Bar End weights, so far, no need for them.

Might be worth looking around a little for sources of that buzz. Steering stem bearings, wheel bearings, handlebar clamps, etc. Goldwings, especially the 6 cylinders, flat don't buzz, when they are right. The dealers used to balance a nickle on the false tank and rev it to redline without it falling over.
