In the fall of the end of the season, I had an unusual experience with my GL1500 SE 1994. On the last run I had trouble to drive off. I could only drive off at high rpm. After winter I replaced the oil, all filters, spark plugs and did a rebuild petcock (the diaphragm was torn). I also measured cylinder compression (1 = 200, 2 = 195, 3 = 195, 4 = 200, 5 = 190, 6 = 195). Unfortunately, I have a 4-5 shifter problem, when I shift from 4 to 5 gear there is a crunch but it has not happened yet that I could not shift from 4 to 5 gear. I also have the Auxiliary Shifter Pivot installed and the oil seal changed.
Now on the test run, I notice that the trouble to drive off not so present but I heard an unusual sound, which ends after a few seconds.
Otherwise the engine starts without a problem and has a smooth running. On the central stand, when I change gear, it's nothing to hear no weird sound or anything like that.
Any advice or I'm making problems where there are none?
Thanks

You may want to check this link including a video record of a similar noise.viktorz wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 7:01 am In the fall of the end of the season, I had an unusual experience with my GL1500 SE 1994. Re: Unusual noise
Thanks for the reply. I looked at the link. This seems to be another problem. With my Goldwing when there is on central stand the engine responds nicely when adding gas and even when I shift gears everything is OK. The problem is when drive off, the engine does not accelerate smoothly, initially somewhat decrease and then pulls with all its might. This is most felt in 1st and 2nd gears. Then also I heard this unusual sound.
Is it possible to be a mistake on the carburetor or the vacuum system ??
