GL1500 SE 1996 Fuse #2 Blows
Number 2 fuse blows when the key is turned on. I trouble shot and found when I unplug the 8 pin connector just above the left fan, the fuse will not blow when the key is turned on. Looking for ideas on how to trouble shoot the connector, what wires go where into the left handlebar controls and what continuity should be on the pins.

I use this gadgets to find a short or heavy loaded circuit; made from two spade terminals, piece of cooper wire, clear epoxy. Inserted in the fuse holder, and the lamp beween the terminals it will show a short sparing fuses.
I hope this helps.

Re: GL1500 SE 1996 Fuse #2 Blows
Update - I unplugged the turn signal control unit and the key is turned on, the fuse does not blow, reconnect it and the #2 fuse blows. I replaced the control unit and the fuse blows. Anyone have ideas on where to go from here?

Do you have a Honda Service Manual? Look at the TURN SIGNAL, HAZARD AND POSITION LIGHTS: ASP AND SE page. In my ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL part of the manual it is page 9-6.
That fuse feeds the lower position lights in the lower front cowl.MikeB
