Re: Radio ground wire
Grounded screws are hard to find in that area.
I put my radio ground to a small bolt on the frame that's just forward of the air intake horn, It's to attach the coolant reservoir if I recall.

Re: Radio ground wire
Is your ground wire the large green wire with the #10 terminal end on it? If so, it attaches to one of the four screws that holds the radio head in place on shelter.

Re: Radio ground wire
The green wire that MikeB is referring to is the one I was thinking of also. It attached under one of the screws the holds the radio to the plastic cover and the other end goes to the CB radio.

Re: Radio ground wire
That isn't grounded... ???
Fist time I opened mine up I found the green wire attached to an air box cover screw. They aren't grounded either, but the radio seemed to work just fine with that wire not connected anywhere (same thing). The green wire with the eyelet I'm talking about comes from the glob of wires that plug into the back of the Stereo. There was no wire under a Stereo mounting screw. Not sure it'll reach the CB.

Re: Radio ground wire
I agree, it is not a DC ground. But it is a radio ground and that is where the installation instructions say to attach it. It grounds the CB radio to the AM/FM/Cassette radio head.DenverWinger wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 4:42 pmThat isn't grounded... ???
