Bike hesitation after half throttle
I have a 92 Goldwing 1500 Aspencade. Bike is/was running great. Runs great up to half throttle. Soon as I go over half throttle there is lack of power and hesitation. I back off to half and everything is fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a classic case of auto petcock failure. In front of the gas cap is the petcock with a vacuum line to it. With engine running and hose removed hose should be pulling a vacuum. Attach a vacuum pump to petcock and pull a slight vacuum which should hold steady.

Thanks for the reply. I got it fixed. Bought a can of Seafoam and poured it in the tank. Within 5 klms it was fixed. Bad gas, last tank I'm thinking.

Re: Bike hesitation after half throttle
For those checking this topic in the future, another common cause of this problem is a clogged fuel filter. It will pass enough fuel to run at lower loads, but at higher speeds, you end up literally "running out of gas" because the filter can't keep up with the required fuel flow.
