Re: Parts compatibility with '95 Goldwing
I guess it depends on the specific part you are looking at.
1988 and 1989 have different front and rear wheels and brake rotors than the later models.
All the 1990 through 2000 are pretty much mechanically the same.
Carburetors are a little different through the years.
Side covers and seats from 1988 through 1994 are the same. In 1995, there were some subtle changes to the panels and seat to make the bike a little lower slung so all the side panels and seats from 1995 to 2000 are the same.
There are a lot more differences but without knowing what it is you are looking for, it is difficult to go through all the differences. Besides, I do not know what all the differences are but I do know a few of them.

Thanks Mike. You hit some of the parts, but I was also wondering about the fairing and windshield.

To the best of my knowledge, the fairings are interchangeable. And the windshields are all interchangeable too.

Re: Parts compatibility with '95 Goldwing
AFAIK, they are the same from '90-'00
colors of course changed, but I can't think of anything in the plastics that are different.
in '97 the tranny gears were upgraded and a stronger drive line installed, from the Valkerie.
the gauges went White, and damned hard to read at twilight and dusk. Purely hated those White gauges.
black with Orange needles are always the best.
The alternator source was changed mid-stream for the worse, the earlier years were made in Japan and bullet proof... then they sourced them from China and and the quality went to hell.

John, you beat me to it on those white gauges.
My '99 has those.
THEY SUCK!
And I was going to mention the driveline from the Valkyrie.
But I believe that the 88/89s had the final drive and drive shaft
from the 1200 that preceded it.

I know nothing about the 88/89 years, that is why I avoided mentioning them.

The largest changes (particularly in throttles, emissions, etc) were from the 88/90 to 90+. Bodywork is universal amongst all years.
