G8MS-H30 relay Question.

Post by Ed Brock »

Can this relay, the G8MS-H30, be used for relay A or B in the starting circuit?
Thanks. Ed

I’m pretty sure this question has already been answered by Wingadmin. The starter relay (solenoid) is capable of handling much greater amperage than the G8MS-H30 sold on this site.

Correct. Completely different relay. The stock G8MS-H30 relay is rated for 20 amps. The replacements we sell are rated for 60 amps. The starter relays are rated for hundreds of amps.

Thanks to all for information. I bumped into my original post awhile ago and found that WingAdmin had answered my question. I just could not find it before I posted the question again. It's so nice to have a place to go to get GOOD information.
