What’s this part/tool?

This fell out of the license light from under the trunk. Just the smaller metal rod with flattened ends not the Ink Pen. Anyone recognize it?

I got tired of losing mine, and the last time I replaced it, I used J-B Weld to permanently affix the rod into the knob. That was over five years ago, and I haven't lost one since.
