GL 1500 Carb Rebuild

Post by RJL »

Helping my son rebuild the carbs on his '90 GL 1500. We used the All Balls kits and they seem pretty complete, however the kit doesn't supply the O ring for the slow jet. Nor does the accelerator pump kit have the 2 O rings for the transfer tube. The ones on the carbs are rock hard and not reusable. We have looked locally & I have searched the internet trying to find the size of these O rings. Any help is appreciated.

Here is the fiche for the carb assembly. Item #6 is for the o-rings and the tube that come as a set for $34. If you can't find them elsewhere, you could get them from Partzilla.

If you are able to determine the sizes of the orings McMaster Carr will have them for you...

https://www.mcmaster.com/

I've used them before for orings when rebuilding Kawasaki carbs... sorry I can't help with the sizes. Make sure you get the ethanol resistant ones. If you have the other ones and they are not too distorted maybe put a set of calipers on them as a starting point
