Feel like an idiot. Only running on 4 cylinders
My wing never had the power at higher speeds that I expected. While replacing my timing belt, my mechanic told me that I'm only running on 4 cylinders. The wing is so quiet that I really couldn't tell. Now the coil is also being replaced. Bet that was the reason for the lousy gas mileage.

Fuhgettaboutit.
At least you will when she is running on all 6 and you crack it open for the first few thousand times.

It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you have your knees to the breeze.

does living in Branson, MO feel special, or do you just gripe about all of the tourist traffic that gets in your way?Roughridercog wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 7:12 am My wing never had the power at higher speeds that I expected. I live in Oologah, OK and have been meaning to go up there sometime, just to look around.
I don't recall seeing anyone with that username at our Eureka Springs labor day Meet 'n Greet??

Branson traffic isn't bad when you learn the back roads. I have to ride 45 miles to the Honda shop in Springfield.
Traffic goes quiet in January and February. It's a great place to retire to.

Don't replace one coil. Replace all three of them as the other two are just as old as the defective one and you don't want to have to replace another one soon down the road. I just had the same thing happen to my 92 Interstate while I was riding on a Patriot Guard Mission. It was noticeable when it happened. I ordered all three coils and six plug wires, changed everything and all is well. But I wouldn't want to have to take all that stuff off again to change another coil. First though, check all the wiring connections from the ECU to the coils. They have a tendency to get corrosion and bad connections.
