A little simpler and also inexpensive would be a cassette adapter. Slide in like a cassette and your phone will connect and you can play your playlist or stream from you favorite online service. Works great, and lasts 4-5 hours (maybe longer, haven't tried longer) on a charge. Got it on Amazon for less than $20

I have tried different things to have Bluetooth to my 1500 ... the best that I have tried and it works so well and isn't that expense ... got it from Amazon.. I receive phone calls and listen to music and get GPS directions all on my hardwire headset through the radio using my iPhone ... the link is below:

My daughter has the exact same unit in her car, and it works great.

The only thing I dislike about it is.. it's a tad bulky ... But will coil up and fit into the left side pocket of the fairing ... a small price to pay for something that works so well
