What painting is it that you want to have done. Is this the gold metal flake and brown metal flake colour combination?

Reason I asked is that I am painting my '85 Limited Edition that is the same colour scheme as the '82 1100 and the '91 1500 - two tone gold metal flake and brown metal flake.

Hi - Painting your wing - You say there "" Id think before you spray there !! "- Over the years i have seen my wacky paint jobs done to wings from - Rat look to air brushed wolf heads and naked lady's and even names of people - Lol ,

one guy even went to moulding his own body panels too !!
See below !! vid -

Thing to consider hear is - Not just what you like - Its what the next person likes when you come to sell the wing on again !! - Yes ??

Here is a vid of what i call a standard wing ( See below )

I have a few friends who break wings up for spare parts - They all tell me the same thing too - if the bike has a custom paint job done on the plastics - They are often left with the plastic panels no one seems to want other peoples doodles !! -

Over in the UK the current trend is to keep the bike in near factory condition - Paint work - Etc - No disco lights just a clean factory bike .

Here is a custom paint job wing ( see vid below )

Take a look at recent completed ebay listings - You will soon see that in the UK - There has been a big move away from custom bikes with bells and disco lights on and a massive shift back to either retro modern or factory clean looking wings untouched and naked looking .

So yes defo a respray check your vin plate for colour etc for that year - And watch the pounds roll in on sale day !! ..

Do your research before you commit !! No one wants a weird looking wing anymore !! ..
