Landing gear

I have been looking at the landing gear products online and I am wondering if any one has any experience using these, or has any information about them. I have seen the ones from Korea, but have not seen any way or web sights for these companies.

I don't have personal experience using any of them as yet.
I do own the original Safety Stop referred to in the link above. It is the first one designed in the USA to my knowledge, but one of the Hurricanes put the guy out of business.

I can say, that the one I have should be best used on level surfaces, as it does not have a way to make allowances for being Off Camber. both wheels are connected to a solid rod that is pushed down by hydraulics simultaneously.

for that matter, the only one that I have seen videos of that will work on Off Camber surface is made in Florida. There is a 2nd version made also that uses individual gear legs that can adjust to Off Camber surfaces.

This is one of the first ones made after the hurricane model went out of business, they have videos you can watch. They can provide models for Harleys and the 1500 and 1800 Goldwings. Not sure about the 4 cylinder bikes.

This thread posts some comments on using the Landing Gear back in 2013,
IMO, the posters were not completely acquainted with the system that they are talking about.
They mentioned that when the landing gear "comes up" that it throws you "off camber", huh???
don't quite see how that could happen.... that is a situation to be aware of when the gear GOES DOWN.

the modern Landing Gear designs are now making the outside wheels independent of each other, and can accommodate you turning in a short radius even with the landing gears down.


Do your research, call and talk to the providers and ask the proper questions to satisfy yourself.

I'm not ready for a Trike yet, and I am now nearing to be 78 years of age... I would prefer to use a Landing Gear instead.

I would avoid using any model that is NOT made in the USA, you will be needing support for parts at some point in the future.
