96 trunk light

96 trunk light
on top of my trunk , on the spoiler is a light . is this a brake light or running light ? it is aprox 1.5 foot long and maybe 1/2 inch thick . it doesnt work and im not sure where to start .

If it is the factory light, it is both. There is a control box that handles the low and high brightness, so that is a good place to start testing, once you have checked the fuses. With the trike conversion, it might be an aftermarket item so you will just have to trace the wiring for that.
