2000 ASP leaking from rear of engine
I have a 2000 Goldwing and I have noticed when the bike has cooled the next day after a ride, small drips came from the rear of the engine, the drips about the size of a quarter ... the bike is on the center stand when its parked, I'm asking the forum what it might be or where to look before diving into it

Where the leak emerges is seldom where the leak is actually coming from. Whenever I get this kind of thing, I will hose down the oily area with brake cleaner to clean all the oil off, then dust it with talcum powder or flour. Wherever the oil is traveling from will become visible very quickly.

The clutch slave cylinder is most likely leaking and needing a rebuild kit.

Shifter shaft seal is a possibility. More towards the left side and rear of engine. Visible with the left carb side cover removed.

Re: 2000 ASP leaking from rear of engine
solid advice... will do whatever I can to get to the top of the rear of the engine unit to clean then dust ... I'm hoping that it's a simple fix (fingers crossed)WingAdmin wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 10:06 pm Where the leak emerges is seldom where the leak is actually coming from. Re: 2000 ASP leaking from rear of engine
I bought a endscope to see up in there due to me not able to get my fat head under the wing on the center stand ... and newday you’re 100% right ... it was/is the slave clutch... be a good winter project ... hopefully I can find a “How To” and parts to get things moving

Definitely the slave. Hydraulic fluid destroys paint (and plastic), so that's what happened to the paint on the back of your engine.
