Are these items inter-changeable?

Yes, but. Your current aluminum windshield garnish also has a black plastic piece between it and the headlight assembly. That will need to come off before the one piece chrome garnish will fit. The bigger chrome garnish should come with an new bracket and bolts that attach to the headlight mount, The bottom of the bigger garnish needs to hook into that bracket before the screws go in.

Cheers Andy. I should have mentioned that I knew the lower panel would have to come off. That's good new though, I think the deeper panel looks so much better.

For me, it took a couple times to get the knack for getting it properly hooked on the bracket.

The installation of this may lead to a desire to install chrome trim around the mirror base and the chrome grill below the headlight. Sorry.
