Windshield Vent Ball Bearing

Post by erkmann »

That darn ball bearing that is spring-loaded into the detents on my windshield vent is definitely the weak link in that vent design. Without it the baffle just flaps in the wind. Ball bearings...$0.17. Vent....$25. Hassle....priceless. Has anyone come up with a fix to keep that ball bearing from jumping out, or perhaps a substitute for the ball?
