How to determine year model of a GL1500

Yes, summer is here and thinking of you gentlemen with winter approaching!

My GL1500 (with 3 others) were imported (in their crates) during February 1993. My bike was prepped & registered (new) on my name on 3 March 1993.

The "Vehicle identification number" (VIN) is F203239 and the engine number E2203794.

I sold the bike a few months ago and today the new owner contacted me, saying that the bike is actually a 1990 model? He found this info on a silver & black "sticker/lable" on the frame (between the carbs & "steering neck") while stripping to remove the carbs. On the sticker the following info: - 1HFSC2200LA2032. Made in USA and in large numbers;- 1990.

I will really appreciate if anybody can please advise what the actual year model is.

it is a 1990 year model motorcycle.
The "L" in the 10th position of the VIN is the year, and L is for 1990, although the VIN you posted (1HFSC2200LA2032) is 15 digits, and is supposed to be 17.
Plus the big "1990" is the model year as well.
