GL1500 alternator question

GL1500 alternator question
I purchased my 89 wing and it already had the compu fire alt on it.no problems so far but if something goes wrong do I need anything special to go back to stock if I had to? new to the wing thing so any help appreciated..

No, the bike is not modified at all to fit it. If it were to fail, you could pop it out and put an OEM alternator back in it with no issues.

Good reason to carry the spare alternator with you on long trips. My spare lives in the left hand saddlebag.
