Looking for discontinued part.

Post by first-goldwing »

I know it is a shot in the dark but, I'm looking for a Radio Cassette cover

Does anyone have one? Mine got lost somewhere between PA. and AR. I was trailering so I have no idea where.

Unless you can find one at a salvage yard or E Bay, aftermarket is your only option. Most of the original's have blown off over the years! Mine did it just outside of Palm Springs CA in one of those 40 MPH side winds on Hwy 62 near the windmills. There was another one out there that was a smoke plastic at one time.

IIRC,

bluthunder is making those, he might have some left.

I found a "brand new one" at a rally, and kept bidding until I got a hold of it.
then I "gave it to him" to use to have a mould made, and then new ones built.

the version he made, has an upright just big enough for two gauges.

Greetings first-gold wing. Just wanted you to know that you might be the only neighbor I have on goldwingdocs. Winfield is less than a 1/2 hour ride from my house. I live just a few miles from Stonington. I know, my address is deceiving. 😒

I think the part he is looking for is the radio cover.

You are right, it's kind of neat. I always wondered if anyone was close to me.
