Blasted peskey thing, I am at my wits end trying to find the neutral diode. I've searched the topic and found what should be the location along the wire harness at the right front but as far as I can see it just isn't there. More pictures would be fantastic but a description might be enough or even what plastic parts need to come off to see it, any help is appreciated.
BTW, my bike is a 1990 SE.

Re: need help finding the neutral diode
Well it looks like that diode is for reverse. The one I'm looking for is a 3 pin inline diode that has been reported seen in the right front taped to the wiring harness. Unfortunately mine seems to be awol. (or I'm blind which has happened before, there are perks to being old you have an excuse)

Re: need help finding the neutral diode
G'day,
Honda did a little tricky thing with its Diodes, the 88 has a cluster of the behind the battery, but they changed them all into a Diode Array, a little black box just under the trunk above the left saddle bag, in the 88-89 this is where the fuel pump relay sits, the diode array looks exactly the same but has more terminals on it, I see it often on e-bay advertised as a fuel pump relay (incorrect).
I only have this pic of it in a filthy condition on disassembly.
Best regards, Peter.

Re: need help finding the neutral diode
The 88/89 Fuel Pump Relay is on the left (small plug) and the Diode Array is on the right (larger plug)

The 88/89 are different than the 90 and up.There are some electrical changes.
What problem are you having and verify for us the year.
