Hi all,
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I've had no luck finding an answer.
When I recently bought my bike, the cable didn't release the footplates for adjustment. On investigation, the cable junction under the seat which joins the one cable to the two cables is disconnected and there is nothing there to connect them. I'd like to make something to do this job but having a photo or diagram to work from would be really helpful. I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out or point me in the right direction.
I've added a photo of what is there at the moment.
Thanks in advance.

I've never actually had that thing apart, and the entire cable is sold as a single piece, so I doubt you're going to find whatever internal thing that once fastened those things together.
The good news is that the whole cable assembly is still available, and it's surprisingly inexpensive:

Re: GL1500 SE passenger footrest adjustment cable missing parts
Thanks for your reply WingAdmin. Unfortunately, when I click on that link it states that the part is unavailable and it isn't sure when it will be available again. Maybe it's not available to ship to Western Australia? I used the part number to search other online sources such as eBay and I found a second hand one in UK but it was AU$140 and a bit steep for something I don't use that much. I also checked Honda online but have no idea how to find it on the microfische. I'll have to call them today.

I had disassembled the foot warmer cable joint piece which looks similar to that piece.
There is a white plastic round piece (roughly 5mm thick) inside which has two grooves on the sides and a hole in the center to attach the cables.
You can easily make one I think by yourself.

Thanks Erdeniz, I'll have a look at that cable on my bike for a template.
