One of the first things I did after I got my 99 Aspencade last year was to put on the Oxford heated grips. I used the grip glue that came with those grips but every time I turn the heat up to its maximum setting, the throttle comes loose. I tried adding a drop or two of super glue, but that didn't make much of a difference.
Now, unless I heat them up to max setting, the throttle grip doesn't budge, so it's not easy to just take off/put back on. But what can you suggest that I can do/use to firmly seal that grip in place finally that's heat-proof? Especially something that can be added without having to completely take off the grip would be nice.
God bless,
~Mark

Re: Heat Proof Grip Glue
Wow, I'm surprised that the super glue didn't do the job. Perhaps it isn't playing nice with the remnants of their grip glue?zeoran wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 11:19 pm One of the first things I did after I got my 99 Aspencade last year was to put on the Oxford heated grips. I use this Loctite gel super glue:
https://www.amazon.com/Loctite-1363589- ... ref=sr_1_8
It's easy to apply and smear (it's gel, so it doesn't drip everywhere) and it has never failed, even with heated grips.

available in 3 oz size, I guarantee it won't slip after using this stuff.

I bought it because a friend's car's sunroof is leaking, and she said "seal it up", I never use it anyway.
