partzilla.com If you are describing the U-Joint boot you can find it on partzilla.com. Part number '52104-MN5-000', $28.97

If I don't do Facebook or Twitter, do I still have to do Social Media Distancing???
Those who say it cannot be done should try not to interrupt those who are doing it.

After a lengthy search for the link cover, I believe about your only hope is to start contacting motorcycle wreaking yards to locate this part.

Okay, got you. Now that I know what you are talking about I can only pass my condolences.
You probably know this but they are no longer available new.
As tfdeputydawg says, salvage yards and online aution site are your only avenue to locate them.

If you can't find any, you can also look at way and cable covers for machine tools. They are the same type of rubber bellows, and are made in a wide variety of sizes, so you might be able to fashion some suitable replacements.

Ha!
After seeing the right side was unavailable, I didn't even bother to scroll down to check the left.

IF you haven't found one yet, my suggestion would be to wrapping a black plastic bag around it. Extend the foot rest to it's full height first then wrap.
If it gets pinched anywhere it's pliable enough to not hang anything from working.
