Alternator plug

Post by hyperfamilyman »

My bride bought me a new alternator from J&N alternators for a Christmas gift. I know they are not the compufire, but that is out of my price range ATM.

I started replacing the alternator yesterday and the plugs aren't the same. The 1 wire plug that plugs into the side of the alternator body.

Any reason I can't just cut the plugs off and twist, solder and heat wrap the wires together?

I have written J&N and I am waiting for a reply. I was hoping to have it done and riding on Wednesday.

I cannot think of a reason why it cannot be done.
