1994 GOLDWING 1500SE
Calling all expert Goldwingers!
Today I did something totally dumb! I had removed the side bags and thought that I could make my life easy by loosening the top trunk off to put the side bags under the trunk. So I was looking for what held it in place and removed the cover just inside the rear of the trunk that also houses the latches for the trunk lid. Did not find what I was looking for and put it back, unknown to me I must have missed something as when I was done I closed the trunk and the bags. Later I wanted to get into the trunk and tried to open it. It does not open but the side bags do open. I have removed what I will call the bezel under the trunk giving me better access to the latches but I am not able to figure out what I need to do to open the trunk.
I hope that one of you experts are able to help Me!
The good news is that I have managed to get the foot brake working well. Bleeding the old conventional way, by pumping the pedal and opening the Val at the brakes did not work.
I had purchased a pneumatic brake bleeder and used this the bleed the brakes. Worked like a charm. Started on the front left calliper and literally watched the air being sucked out. After only bleeding the front I had a hard brake pedal with a minimum amount of travel. Now all I need is to have the trunk OPEN. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!
