2000 Trike Lost all Power
2000 Trike Lost all Power
Replacing the starter solenoid in my `00 Goldwing trike. Lost all power to everything. No lights, no dash. 12 volts in my battery. I`m sure I blew a fuse, but cant find one. Help!

Did you check the dogbone fuse?
Re: 2000 Trike Lost all Power
Yes, just under the battery box. All good.

If I could get my hands on a wiring diagram, that would be great.

Get yourself the factory Honda service manual. You'll be glad you did. There is a complete electrical troubleshooting section that is really good. You can pick them up on ebay.
Of course there will be some changes done for the trike conversion that you will have to "discover".

Until you can get yourself the Honda service manual, here is the first page of the power distribution for the 1500. Your trouble is likely going to be on this page.
I would start by checking for power on both sides of that 30 amp fuse by the battery.

Re: 2000 Trike Lost all Power
I have experienced the same thing several times. Bike lost all power, even the radio presets, clock all just like I had pulled the 30amp main fuse. I took a good look and discovered the terminals inside the fuse holder were burned and corroded and broken so I know that was probably it. The red wire that plugs in just behind the fuse was very burned and bad looking as well. If that wire loses its connection the whole bike is dead as it is fed by that 30amp main fuse too. My bike is sitting here in the garage and I ordering a new starter relay A to get rid of all those broken bad connections and will put a new connector on the red wire. FYI, my bike had to get hot before
it would die, then a minute later it would come back to life and start and go. If I still stayed soppped and it got back to that temp it would lose connection again, but, I could immediately wiggle that relay and connection and the instant I touched it everything would come back. Temperature played a part evidently and obvious on the red wire connector. I found the relay on Amazon as well as other places. Dont know if it available from a dealer or not but will be my next call to compare.
Good luck, hope you cure it too.
