Gl1500 ECM and fuel circuit
I have a 98 SE that shows a ecm fault for the fuel supply. Have another ecm in route. Question is other factors that influence the ecm. My TA and coolant show lower resistance values than listed in manual. Temp gauge seems to operate fine. Fuel seems fine (when it gets there). Anything I'm missing? Anyone insert relay between ecm and pump that have had issues?

Re: Gl1500 ECM and fuel circuit
That output from the ECM for the fuel pump is just a transistor capable of switching 5 amps. It is unprotected, so if there is a fault in the pump or wiring that draws too much current, that transistor fails.
Our member here, virgilmobile, has switched one out (replaced the transistor) and it solved the problem, much cheaper replacing a $5 transistor than replacing the whole ECM.
