aspencade air compressor

Post by ajeanquart »

recently purchased 93 aspencade.....air compressor not working....rather than go thru the hullabalu to get it operational, wondering if I disconnect it, and do what my 91 wing Interstate had, which was just an air line running into the saddlebag, and fill the rear shocks that way, and if possible, what air line would I need to find to make it work.....?? thanks to anyone who can guide me in the rite direction

You should have the outlet air line in the right saddlebag already. I believe you can use it to fill, but I'm not sure if you have to hold any buttons. Maybe check the manual.

Not to state the obvious, but have to hold Pressure check button along with increase or decrease button to run the compressor. I've forgotten that before. Engine might need to be idling, too, but don't think so.

The switches can get dirty. Hit them a few times before giving up.

Just got it operarational today....had just purchased new Everlast battery from Auto Zone couple days ago, and threw it on slow charger.....charger got super hot and went dead....Seller sent another, and same thing, so looking to buy Deltran soon...anyway the new battery held no charge, so picked up second one today......all OK......back to the air compressor.......stupid me did not read manual like I should have, and once RE read it like I was advised, pressed both buttons and it works fine.....thanx.........
