GL1500 Dash Refresh

Post by bentleyss »

Purchased my 1995 Gwing in 2017. Had a decent wood dash kit on it but it was fading a little. The Florida sun finished the job an also bubbled the epoxy resin. Finally got a newer kit supposedly better resins composition. Happy with the results.😎

I have that exact kit on my 93. Had it for 11 years. Will offer some advice on care. Keep a coat of car wax on it as it "will" craze, over time, from the sun. Very nice looking kit though.

Found it on EBAY, seller was out of Bradenton, FL. The kit comes fgom a company called CARID.... go to their website and see what they have. The bike looks really good . Thanks for the tip on the car wax. Will be using that to keep it looking good. Next up is a seat cover or re-upholstlery. My original has started to go at the seems . :o
