RIGHT SIDE SWITCHES REPLACEMENT
RIGHT SIDE SWITCHES REPLACEMENT
I bought a new switch assembly for my 2000 GL1500 SE. I thought I remembered someone here posting details and photos in the how to articles. Well, can't find it so maybe I was wrong. If, and I do mean if, anyone knows the location of a post with photos step by step for replacing the switch assembly on the right side, I would appreciate the help.

In the how-to section there are a couple for cleaning the switches, and replacing the lights that have lots of photos of that area.

I found those. Not what I remembered. Possible I found on another site. Not afraid to wing it but access to those lower connectors might be hard with too big fingers. Looks tight.

Mounting the switches is pretty straight forward, and as you stated, all of those connectors are a big hassle. One guy on these forums simply cut the wires and used the solderless heat-gun connectors available on Amazon. Butt connectors but with integral low-temp solder activated by a heat gun. They work great.
