LED Headlight Update?
From what I could find it's been quite a while since replacement LED headlights have been reviewed/discussed. I'm recently retired and have limited funds but would like to replace my halogen headlights with LEDs. The Electrical Connection lights WingAdmin recommended over the SoCal are beyond my budget (~$110). Any recommendations on plug-in replacements? Thanks in advance!

IMHO, if you don't buy the Goldwing kits from SoCal or EC you run a much higher risk of dissatisfaction.

It's true. There's a very good reason that those SoCal and EC kits that cost $100+ get raving reviews, and those $30 Amazon specials...well, they don't.

I tried to Amazon $30 LED headlight it lasted for about a half a season and then it kept not working on low beam and when I turned it on low beam it would kill all my power to my bike anybody else have problems with the cheap ones

Sorry for the delay - dealing with some health issues. Sylvania Silverstar Ultra. Lasted one very short season.

Re: LED Headlight Update?
If you go back to halogen, go with the mid grade Silverstars. They last a lot longer then the Ultra's and you will not notice the difference in light output. I am on year 4 with my mid grades. Forget what the miles have been.

I , too, am poor as a church mouse, but I found it easier to explain to wife why I felt it better to eat at home a couple of nights than it was to drive the 'Wing home in the dark. Love mg LEDs.
