Hi all .
I just put new Dunlop Elite 4 tire in the front few days ago but i can't find one for the back , all Dunlop Elite 4 ( 160/80-16 ) are back order 'til at least the end of september or early october , since i don't feel like losing the rest of the summer i was wondering if anyone of you had ever ran different brand of tires , like a Dunlop and a Brigestone for example ? or Dunlop and . . . whatever ?
Fortnine has a Bridgestone Exedra G-702 in 160/80-16 size but with an Elite 4 in the front i was wondering if i'd have troubles like . . . wobbling or others ?
Thanks !!!

Like many things, motorcycle tires are in limited supply right now. You should be able to run Dunlop front and Bridgestone rear without any issues.
If you can't find a rear tire it might be time to read this thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=55413&start=125

If you can't find a decent M/C tire right now, put on a CT that has a rounded Profile to it so it acts more like a normal m/c tire.

Re: Rear tire opinions ?
Hi all .
I have 2 questions that i'd like your opinion on because i don't know about you guys in the states , but up here in Canada its impossible to get a rear Dunlop Elite 4 for a 1500 .
I found 2 tires that i could buy ,
1 is a Dunlop D417 with the correct size 160/80-16 or ,
2 is Dunlop Elite 3 with half an inch shorter & narrower 150/80-16
Personaly I'd prefer to run with the Dunlop Elite 3 , but since its a tire that must be few years old due to the change to Elite 4 few years ago , i wonder if i shoul get the Dunlop D417 which should be recent but not as good a tire than the Elite ?
Thanks !!!

I wouldn't mind the American Elite except that i can't find any in stock nowhere , it's as hard as an Elite 4 to get , so back to my 2 available choices " Dunlop D417 or Elite 3 " i guess ?ct1500 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 4:34 pm If going 150-80/16 what do you think of the H-D tire?

The E3 is a good tire, I'd ask to see the date code on the E3 and if you think you will wear it out before it's 7 yrs old it would probably be a good choice.

Re: Rear tire opinions ?
The date is the 38th week of 2015 , so its already 6 years old and i'd have to run another year or so with it , so i think i'll wait for the " back order " Elite 4 to arrive , should be around 2-3 weeks ?DenverWinger wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 8:52 pm The E3 is a good tire, I'd ask to see the date code on the E3 and if you think you will wear it out before it's 7 yrs old it would probably be a good choice.
