GL1500 SE decals
Hi all, I would like to fix a scratch on my gl1500 and need to get my hands on a decal for the front fairing. Can anyone please suggest where I could locate this? I'm in Western Australia.
Thanks in advance

What decal, there is an emblem, but I'm not aware of any decals besides the safety notice ones by the vents.

Mine is an Aspencade so I don't have 2 tone color, are you sure the SE accent colors aren't just paint surrounded by a pinstripe? I kinda don't think the accent colors are "Stick-on". But I could be wrong...

Re: GL1500 SE decals
Thanks for all the replies. I thought (and hoped) it was a decal. There are other chips and minor scratches on the bike and there are some areas where the darker colour has peeled back rather than chip which led me to believe it was a decal. I'll have to try and get some paint tinted up but I believe this paint is fairly complex - 3 layers or something like that.

Re: GL1500 SE decals
Several years ago I had to repaint my '90 model and while the silver accent part was in good shape the pinstripe trim was almost off from age so I really think that the silver part is paint. Yes, the paint is three parts, base color coat, the "effects" coat which is the sparkle coat and then the clear top coat. A quart of each, the hardener and some thinner set me back almost $500 plus a lot of work (I couldn't believe how many parts there are in the body work of our bikes). If you are going to redo the pinstripe then you can mask at the pinstripe line and then cover the paint edge with new pinstripe. Whatever, It's a lot of work for a small panel, it was more worth it with doing the whole bike like I did.

Re: GL1500 SE decals
I do believe it is a decal. The digital parts manual I have shows the right fairing panel as part number 64202-MAM-A10ZA.
In the manual it is listed as Parts Number: 64202-MAM-A10ZA STRIPE, and the Item Description as: R. (TYPE10) - SE '96
The ZA signifies it as the proper part for the Pearl Glacier White paint job. The two decal colors are Summer Blond Metallic and Silver.
As far as I can tell, the part is available but you need to check for availability per your location.
You may not like the price however. Partzilla lists it at $109.00. I didn't check any of the other parts suppliers.

Thanks for this MikeB, it's very helpful. I may have to bite the bullet and just buy it. Revzilla won't post to Australia so I'll get it from partzilla for $109 + $40 shipping

My local Honda stealership charges AUD$192 delivered ex Japan which works out cheaper than the US$149 from partzilla.

Re: GL1500 SE decals
that is why we have to make the hard choices.
we search, and look, and then wobble around, trying to make up our mind....
then we just jump off the deep end.
I am in that portion of a new search now.....
local friends, the only ones close to me to ride with, have Sena 10S Bluetooth intercoms...
My helmet is wired with a cord for the GL1800 Intercom setup, but I signed the title over to my son last month, and now ride my downsized Piaggio MP3.... no room to add radios period.
So, I need to go Bluetooth...

My 83 Aspencade was looking rough in some areas, found Honda did use decals.

If you can find a local sticker shop which has a color printer, it can be easily reproduced after a few try to match the color and the shape.
