Windshield vent?

Post by Sassy »

I went through the product review pages and never found anything on the vent so thought I'd inquire here.
I need to replace mine, weathered and coming apart I have looked on ebay mostly and the price range is in excess of 50$ for what looks like the same item.
I'm not really cheap but 50$ is just that!
Wondering what the experience has been by those who have bought recently both product and vendor.
Thanks in advance.

I personally do not have or use a vent but I can tell you that you need to get a vent that is made for your windshield. The Honda windshields and after market shields are not the same thickness. And keep in mind that the after market shields are not all the same thickness amongst the manufacturers.

Cyclemax has replacements for the Honda vent.
I never liked the vent in looks or function, so I just replaced the windscreen with an adjustable Madstad.

IF you're good at careful cutting of plexi windshields, this has been around near forever and still works well.

Mine has the proper 1500 vent which needs replacement.
I'm just looking for input on the replacements because there is such a range in pricing.

Quick Ebay search $39

AL is taking a TAX beating in his country... maybe help him, he is us.
It's RARE but when I can I'll add a couple bucks to the payment.

Condition,,,,
For parts, not working
Looking for new. Thought maybe few people had replaced theirs recently and was just looking for feedback.
A little research makes me believe mine is a slip streamer so guess I'll replace with same.
Thanks for the input.

Maybe I missed but did you know who makes your windshield? Is it OEM? First thought was also for cyclemax thought I saw replacement vents but thinking same thing that you need to find a vent that matches your windshield. Good luck with search. :)
