GAS CAP REPLACEMENT - NEW

Post by samwing1500 »

Is it possible to buy a new gas cap for a 2000 GL1500? The red braided hose as well?
I havent tried the local dealer yet but will give them a call too? Just wondered if it
is a part that is still available and where.

Depending on what is wrong many folks have soaked a clogged cap in Seafoam and got the valve to work again.

My son is going to enjoy it for many years to come.

on my '94SE,

I drilled a 1/16" inch hole thru the rim of the cap so it would vent.
never had any issues with fumes, this was in Phx, AZ
