I like the looks of it, but that battery seems to be a "Trifle Low"

He doesn't have a web page... he's email is dapi@skynet.be ... a nice man to deal with ... the total cost to me here in Arkansas was under 400.00 dollars took about 9 days to get here ... the cost goes up and down depending on the Euro at the time .... ask him to send you the PDF install manual .... the manual is well written with pictures ... he accepts payment through PayPal

Well it's all done... got done yesterday with installing the display .... I advise while doing the install take your time and double check yourself ... the results are amazing ... while I had the dash of the bike apart I installed new speaker ... went with Polk DB501 now I need to install the 401's in back ... if you decide to install the display and need advice... holler be happy to help ... here's some before and after photo's

P.S
I asked him is there a way to change the time to 12 hours instead of 24 hours ... he said he do a update to change that if you wanted it

That is a very impressive upgrade to the LCD information panel of the GL1500. I really like the information it displays but it does raise a multitude of questions for me about installation and supplied hardware.

What sensors comes with the display? I see that there are Battery Voltage, Battery Current, Outside Temperature, Outside Humidity, and Gear Indicator. Where do the sensors have to be mounted? Are they plug and play?

GPS information such as time, Number of Satellites, Course and Course Orientation and Altitude is not something that is included with the GL1500 so where does that information come from? Is there a GPS module that comes with the LCD display? The Automatic Daily Counter appears to be the Trip Odometer, is that correct?

Did you happen to take a picture of what came with the LCD panel and all the sensors and wiring included?

I heard back from Pierre, here are some more details:
  • Price is US$340 plus US$50 shipping (from Belgium)
  • Units are hand-built
  • Unit is plug and play (no cutting of wires), but installation requires some significant disassembly
  • 50 units are already installed
  • Based on an Arduino
  • Includes GPS receiver for speed, direction, altitude data
  • Includes temperature/humidity sensor
  • Includes voltage/current sensor for battery
He sent me the installation manual, and if he gives me permission, I will post it here.

This really is impressive, especially being "plug and play".
Finding it very hard to not order this.
Really shows how impressive these small computers are.
I am guessing it comes with a blocking plate for the old temp/fuel gauge?

I do wish it had the time a bit larger, I am worried how well my old eyes could see it.
Also have no real use for the radio functions, I just don't use the radio anymore since I have bluetooth headphones.
I am sure with a little know how you could move things around, but I have no know how on this.

yes it comes with a plate... it comes with everything needed to install the display ... there is just one thing that isn't plug and play ... have install a flyback diode ... as quoted from the pdf ... To secure the display from over voltage caused by deflating of the rear suspension, you need to install a flyback diode in parallel of the charge.... which is easy peasy
