Re: Shell Rotella T4
A neighbor tried T4. He disappeared and was never heard from again.
Me, I run T6 in my 1500.

Re: Shell Rotella T4
is this a semi hijack? if so, please forgive. the specs on t6 show it to be a 5w40 synthetic. that should really help with the clutch drag. does it? thanks for any answers!

Re: Shell Rotella T4
My 88 always had non synthetic run in it before I got it. So, I decided to keep it that way. I ran T-4 for the 8 years I had it and was completely happy with it. Shifts were smooth. I run it in my 03 Yamaha quad because of the same thing of it never having dino oil in it.
I do run T-6 in all my newer bikes and quad.
But, good luck finding it right now. At least here in UT, the shelves are bare of T-4 and 6. I hit at least 8 Wal Marts and a bunch of Home Depost. Nothing.

Re: Shell Rotella T4
I put T4 in my new to me 97' about 125 miles ago. Shifting much better, but most anything would, as the bike had been sitting since 2014. I have no idea what the PO was running in it, as he has sadly passed. I run T6 in my 2021 CRF Rally and may do the same for the Goldwing with next oil change. I was getting a lot of miss shifts and false neutrals with the old stuff, but largely gone with fresh fluid. Did the final drive with Honda's own oil while I was at it, and was surprised that it was less than $5 bucks from dealership.
