Honda didn't make backrests, so you'll have to give us a little more information as to which backrest you have, made by which aftermarket supplier. They're all different.38wing wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 6:20 am Hi i have a 88 gl1500 i just got a backrest for it and i need to replace the bushing or whatever its called they go inside of the bracket that bolts to the bike and locks the backrest in to place. That compression ring is available as a replacement part from Add-On Accessories (the manufacturer of the backrest), but I'm not able to find it in stock anywhere at the moment.
The Add On Accessories part number is: 45-1706R
https://addonaccessories.net/nylon-comp ... rests.html
https://www.motorcycleid.com/add-on-acc ... 1706r.html
If you can't find it from them, you might be able to find the same thing from a plumbing supplier.

Depends whether or not they are the same size. I suspect they might?

Markland industries also uses that system on their backrests and has a pouch as well.
Maybe give them a call.
