trunk side marker lights
well after noticing 2 of the three bulbs on my trunk side lights are out I removed the light and find one had become out of the housing and melted into the plastic and broken . they are very small push in bulbs and if I searched right seems they aren't even factory but an after market light that replaced a reflector which must have been original. if I could get a bulb I'd replace the one with the good socket though I doubt I'll be able to get whats left out of the one that broke. anybody have a bulb number that might let me search for bulbs? I don't plan to go to the expense of replacing the whole unit with LED's like I see some doing. thanks

I believe they are #70 bulbs.
Cyclemax sells them for $9.00 for a set of ten.

OK thanks- actually I only need one , or two if I manage to salvage the one socket the bulb had broke off in. but I would doubt any automotive store stocks them. but it won't hurt to check. and I'm going to Amarillo tomorrow. I'll call the cycle shops and ask.

If you have an AutoZone in your area, try them.Skeldog wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 6:50 pm OK thanks- actually I only need one , or two if I manage to salvage the one socket the bulb had broke off in. but I would doubt any automotive store stocks them. but it won't hurt to check. and I'm going to Amarillo tomorrow. Re: trunk side marker lights
I did stop in at an autozone yesterday and they did have two wattage versions in stock-I bouight the #73 ones having a little lower wattage.hoping they won't create quite as much heat and if I can pick the remains of the broken bulb out of the one socket I'll get the light back to full capacity. thanks again for the tip

If you are interested in LEDs, I used these. They're about as bright as the incandescents. They are polarity-sensitive, so you'd have to figure out which end is which.
